  • Now you can now turn your iPhone / iPod touch into a remote for your Mac OS X by using an app called Remote Buddy. By using  Remote Buddy you can control more than 100 applications, virtual keyboard and mouse, presentations, media center software and important system settings right from your iPhone™, iPod® Touch, your Apple® Remote or one of the many other remote controls supported by Remote Buddy!.
    You can download Remote Buddy from here. Check the the step by step instructions posted below using which you will be able to turn your iPhone/iPod touch into remote
    control device.

    STEP BY STEP GUIDE TURN IPHONE INTO A REMOTE CONTOL

    STEP 1. First you have to download Remote Buddy app and then install it on your iPhone/iPod touch.
    STEP 2. Now from the applications folder you have to run Remote Buddy and then Open preferences.
    STEP 3. Within the preference window you have to enable the AJAX Remote.
    STEP 4. Now you will be asked to set a password. If you don’t want to set password then leave this field blank.
    STEP 5. At the bottom of the preference window, you will be able to see a url. Now you have to open this url in the safari browser of iPhone/iPod touch.
    That’s it. In this way you can turn your iPhone/iPod touch into a remote for your Mac OS X.
